This morning the Jigga (our trusty game drive vehicle) hit a bit of a snag. The release bearing on the clutch gave up the ghost after years and years of tough service. As a result the clutch plate and pressure plate failed as well. Rexon immediately removed the whole gear box (no mean feat in very little time). It took some hours to source the parts and they are being driven over night from Pretoria to Nelspruit. When the Gowrie gate opens at 05h00 tomorrow morning, Pete will drive like the wind to Nelspruit Landrover. He will collect the parts and get them back to Rex and Eric who will work hard to get the Jigga back on the road by tomorrow afternoon’s drive … it’s in our nature.
