As mentioned in last week’s blog, we’ve officially welcomed back the thermal drone! It is an amazing piece of equipment, which allows us to look for animals in the African wilderness from a perspective high above the ground. So, get ready to take to the skies once again.

The thermal drone helps us to track animals in the dark more effectively than our guides on the ground can, and helps us get an even more in-depth look at their lives. As was the case last week, there will be an adjustment to our usual Sunset Safari schedule while we test fly the drone. On Tuesday 23rd of October the Sunset Safari will only be 2 hours in duration.

That doesn’t mean you’re going to miss out on any of the action, though! We will be conducting tests an hour after drive and if any of the action kicks off, you’ll be the first to know.
Keep an eye on Facebook as we could go LIVE at any time during this hour.
