We have heard your concerns regarding the cancellation of the Sunrise Safari and have listened to them.
As a result, we’ve put our heads together to see if we could find a way that we could continue to meet our night time requirements while still bringing back the Sunrise drive and have managed to do so. Therefore, we will be bringing back the three hour scheduled Sunrise Safari as of Monday, 15 April but in a slightly changed form..
The first hour of the Sunrise Safari will include the use of our thermal and infrared technologies, meaning every morning will be drone morning. Join us as we search from the skies for your favourite safariLIVE characters as well as other shy and nocturnal critters that may be out and about.
WE are both pleased and excited to be bringing back the Sunrise Safaris as a part of the safariLIVE experience. We hope you will join us all with your teas and coffees from next week Monday as we head out into the wild, under the cover of darkness.

THANK YOU! It is so rare that community concerns are addressed so quickly and satisfactorily as you (WE) have done. You are to be congratulated on your consideration and awareness of a good segment of your audience. (And we (the viewers) are to be congratulated on having this precious resource back.)
BTW, do you have a media contact for the possibility of a radio interview in the States?
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so happy. I have been lost here in California at night without the safari to watch. Been watching since there could only be 50 people on the vehicle. That was a very long time ago.
Thank you so much!!! Your daily guests truly love the guides (aka “naturalists”) that take us on said “guides” everyday. :-) This broadcast has been a blessing to so many. Thank you for being our GUIDES, especially to those of us who now only dream of going on a live Safari. And it never would have happened if it weren’t for this amazing experience you all tirelessly bring to us.
This snarky Southern Californian thinks you are all the best Safari GUIDES in all the land! A naturalist can’t have tens of thousands of people on the back of a safari land rover right??? :-D
Thanks for bringing back sunrise drives ive watched avidly for nearly 3 yrs it was a big part of my day its a early rise for me as im in UK but i dont mind at all again thanks Wildearth regards Ian
Thank you to the WildEarth team for listening; SL viewers spoke, and you heard us. You took our consternation, complaints, grief, and tears, and your own business model to reach a compromise we can all live with. A compromise never fully satisfies the parties involved, but leaves each party willing to walk into the future together.
All I wrote regarding the use of drones, Thermal Imagery, and spotlights to track animals in the dark of night stands; these are not new technologies, and are not an enjoyable viewing experience for many. That said, I will continue to embrace the educational experience offered through the tracking of animals by natural light, viewing flora and fauna in their natural habitats, and the marvelous font of information offered by fellow-chatters.
I wish all good to WE/SL…that you may expand your viewership to include those who become interested in the conservation of what we have left on this Earth.
Yours in conservation of our precious planet, Karen Gwen Brawley
Thank you for bringing it back. It’s the one I have the best chances of seeing.
This viewer says a very very big thank you.
Louise! Thank you so much for listening to us and reinstating Sunrise drives! I was one of the sad people. I accepted the cancellation through tears. I kept an open mind, hoping I’d adjust to the loss of the Sunrise drives. I am in thrilled disbelief (if there is such a thing. lol) that we have our normal schedule again! We are truly spoiled!
The live safari drives mean more than one might initionally think. Some of us (in Safarilive chat) suffer from various hardships, physical, illnesses, debilitation, psychological (myself – depression and isolation, which I’m in treatment for, in addition to physical issues, which I’m working on to become healthier). Each drive allows me to forget that stuff. I love learning and I love animals. Safarilive is perfect for people with these qualities.
The drives, the incredible Naturalists, (I am shocked at this title change since, for years now, I’ve been told that we ARE on a safari, to imagine I’m on board a huge safari vehicle, lead by real safari Guides), locations, animals and trees, etc., are unsurpassed!
I proudly wear the numerous Safarilive tee shirts and use the Safariljve mugs I’ve purchased for enjoyment and to give my support.
With regard to changing “Guides” to “Naturalists.” I lkve the guides. They are full of life, enthusiam, extreme levels of knowledge, and have fantastic senses of humor! The unique aspect of incorporating live interaction between viewers and guides is a huge part of the innovative format of the safaris. To me, changing the titles of Guide to Naturalist is more than a matter of semantics. The guides ARE actual guides and deserve to be acknowledged and appreciated by using Guide.
Anyway, once again, thank you, et al, for bringing a huge amount of happiness into my life!
As posted before I am so addicted to safarilive that I will always make a plan to watch. Thank you to all and everyone at Wildearth. XxB

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the Sunrise drives were returning. It almost made me cry! This is the best news ever. Thank You.
May you live to be a thousand years old❣️❣️
Thanks for listening.
Thank you for bringing back sunrise! 😁
Well, I am over the moon! I just hope we didn’t pressure you into something that adds stress. I know that I was a bit…no a lot pushy about how I felt. But in the end, I really do want what’s best for you! After all that’s what you started for right, hoping to advance?!
But I am doing somersaults inside and ear to ear grin out. I will be there with open arm’s! You all really and truly a huge blessing in our lives! Sending hugs of thank you’s. See you bright and early and eager open arms!

Thank you,thank you,thank you
How wonderful! Thank you for changing your plan. You will make many people very happy!
I WAS disappointed with the decision to eliminate the sunrise drive. Even though I’ve watched SL since I returned from safari 1 1/2 years ago, I didn’t want to complain, I was just happy for anything you give us viewers, However, after being on WE’s first expedition to Djuma last January, I have looked forward to going on those two drives a day and continuing the wonderful sightings and education. Thank you so much.
Thank you so so much
Thank you so much, Louise.
this is wonderful news…………..glad you heard your faithful viewers. Thank you so much.
