We are proud and excited that we have managed to secure James Hendry to host two WildEarth Expeditions in 2020! So, if you have always dreamt of being on safari with James now is your chance.

These two Expeditions will have you stay at Djuma’s newly-built Tumbeta lodge. A stay at Tumbeta will provide an intimate experience as it only has room for six guests. Furthermore, it offers a photographic hide, an outdoor sleeping platform for the brave (with mosquito nets), a swimming pool and a direct view of Gowrie Dam from its deck.

Add to that being guided and entertained by James Hendry off and on your vehicle, and this will be the safari of a lifetime!

This being a WildEarth Expedition, you will also get to meet some of our crew, engage with Graham and Emily Wallington, visit Jurie Moolman’s museum and the WildEarth Schools program, and much more.

The first of the two Expeditions will take place from June 22nd – 27th, the second from November 11th – 16th. The cost for this unique 6 day/5 night experience is $3,800 per person sharing or $7,600 if you do not want to share your room.

Bookings will open at the end of the Sunset drive on Saturday, December 7th (19:00 CAT, 9 AM PST, noon EST, 17:00 GMT) and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. As there are only a total of 12 places available across the two Expeditions, we do expect them to sell out very quickly.

WE hope to welcome you at Djuma with James next year!
