A little over a year ago we reached out to you, our community, to share your favourite moments and sightings, or to share what the daily safaris mean to you. The goal was to create a book by and for the WildEarth community, but this project was not brought to completion. With the 14th birthday of daily LIVE safaris coming up on April 27th, we want to now finish and publish this book.
While we already received a large number of great and moving stories last year, a lot has happened since then and there is room for more. So, if you have not yet shared your story about a favourite sighting or moment and why it is so special to you, or about what the safaris mean to you, please do send it to and it might still be included in the book.
But, even if you do not have a full story to share, but simply want to let us know you’re watching and are part of our community, simply leave a quick comment on this quick form. We will include as many of these as we can in a special community section of the book.

We want to print this as a high-quality coffee table book but have found it is virtually impossible to predict ahead of time what the costs per book would be. The reason is that this depends heavily on how many books are printed and where they need to be shipped to. The more we can print, and the more go to specific countries, the lower the costs will be. To avoid having to set the price too high, or risk making a loss on each book, we’ve therefore split sales into two parts.
The first option is to purchase an e-book only, and the second one to also indicate you would like a hardcopy coffee table book in addition to your e-book. Then, if we get enough people to reserve a hardcopy, and know the shipping destinations, we can set a final and accurate price. We estimate that if we can make the print run at least 500 books, we can make the production and shipping affordable. On our site, we’ve given an indication of what we think the delivered cost of the book would be on this basis for some destinations.
Please do check out the book page on our site for more information and pricing. We’re offering an ‘Early Bird’ discount of 20% on all books bought before the end of March!
We look forward to completing this beautiful together with you and to reading all your stories and comments!
Wildearth is my go to channel to unwind and to live the experience with the wonderful guides. I just love it. It is my therapy when I need to relax.
I started watching Safarilive when my friend Cheryl DYSON’s son Scott was presenting/guiding on Wildearth (then Safarilive) and the very first time I watched was the day Scott had that big elephant bull with a hole in his ear push against his car. If I’m not mistaken Dave was new to Wildearth then. Scott and his then partner Nicki left that day. Not because of the Ellie.
Happy Birthday Wildearth. Your shows are truly my happy place.
Hi all at Wild Earth. I discovered this channel during the lockdown last year. It is now one of my favourite to watch. I find it restful and so very interesting. The guides are all so very clued up. The baby animals are adorable and I now find that I am seeing animals in a different light… only from watching your wonderful program. Thank you so much to all of you guys and happy birthday Wild Earth.
Regards Jenny Karele
Everything about wildearth and the safaris are so memorable. I started watching when Tara, Marc and Seb were there. When Karla showed us her cubs Mixo, but I can’t remember the other cub’s name. When the elephant attacked Marc’s jeep and left her mark in the jeep. Loved watching the drone film above the land. There are so many, I could go on and on.
Hey, I’m Bethany…my mom loves watching your channel although she only found it towards the end of last year she works remotely, on her couch with your channel in the background and absolutely loves it. She says it makes her feel like shes at the Kruger and my family LOVES being at the kruger…
So thank you 😄😁
How more real can one feel being on a safari ride, day or night, watching WildEarth on DSTV while sitting in the comfort of one’s home. I have gained so much knowledge about our wildlife, fauna and flora as well as the geographic nature of our planet. What a difference this has made in understanding creatures large and small and makes my visits to our game parks more meaningful. Thank you to WildEarth for this wonderful programme.
I have been watching for a short time, 3 years and saving money and after safe to travel (Covid19) that I added to my bucket list. I live this show, team and all guides, past and present. It gives me hope that I will been there live and experience what I see on TV.
Their rides are like I’m sitting there enjoying as they are. By the way I’m 69 years old and have always love the wild outdoors. Thank you WilEarth for allowing to explore one of the things I love, any and all types of wild ani Animals.
And I miss Hosana
I have been watching wildearth since 2011. We visited Vuyatela in December 2011 before it became self catering. I love South Africa and we come every year except in 2020. I loved when Brent found a pangolin and wish I were in the car with him! At the moment I « enjoy » watching the wild dogs with a warthog kill in Tswalu with Juan .
I disc WE, last year after an operation just before lockdown. I am very lucky to go to the Kruger National Park several times a year. However with the unique global circumstances and my recuperating period. WE and it’s knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining guides proved to be my saving grace. I can’t begin to tell you how this show and it’s presenters/guides, everyone responsible has changed my life and enriched that with my thirst for knowledge about the animals, vegetation and everything that inhabits this magical place on earth. I have also earned the nickname Jessica Attenborough because of the fun facts I quote frequently regarding the bush, because of those I have learned through your show. That and the stack of books I purchased and poured through! I To all the WE team a huge and heartfelt Thank You!
How much wil it be if you only order the hardcopy book. Love to watch your live drives. Previously we toured through South Africa a lot especially in the parks and Im a keen photographer. At the moment we can’t travel and I mmiss it a lot, but your live drives make up for iit snnd I’ve learned so much in the past months.
I am a 911 Dispatcher, exmedic and firefighter and my stress is always compartmentalized. I have delivered babies, found children, instruct and have done CPR, heard people be shot and am your first call. I Am Always just a phone call away. I LOVE MY Job but Wildearth has given me Peace in my profession. Thank You Wildearth for helping me find peace every single day.
Wildearth has been a lifesaver. As a lifelong animal and safari person l thought that l was fairly knowledgeable on birds and animal lovers. How wrong. I have learnt so much more. The guides and cameramen have provided. Excellent coverage on so much that l can’t thank you enough.
I absolutely love your program, we can’t wait for the morning shows. Coming from the bushveld we have great knowledge of the bushveld. Living at the coast has it beauty aswell ,but nothing beats the bushveld. Keep up the good work and thanks for making this program possible.
I love when we are at the hyenas den. And I love the elephant
I would love a copy of the book for my husband who is an avid daily viewer. Coffee table one please.

During the pandemic, I had the chance to explore the beautyof God’s creation through wild earth. The animals and landscapes that I have seen are spectacular. I am 13 years old and I wish to do the jobs you guys do!
*-My partner and I have been through all the national parks in Southern Africa with our Land Rover and roof tent. When lock down happened we were forced to cancel our Botswana trip and discovered Wild Live safari for the first time. What a relief. Now we have become armchair safari travellers. He is 80, I am 75 , and we discovered how fabulous this way of wild safaris are. Thank you all for your Expertise and charm and wit. Your Excellent camera work makes it easier as well than our with our heavy lens perched on the car window sill. All in all a delight and extremely professional. Thank you all very much. Thanks Wildearth for enriching this old lady’s life. With lockdown you have truly brought peace to my life. My most memorable sighting was the Birmingham lioness carrying her one cub down the dry Timbivati riverbed with the other one following. Also the mating tortoises in Tswalu. Just a true blessing to ride along twice a day!
Watching WildEarth has become a “Must” every day. It has become fantastic to get to know the excellent presenters, and the various “regulars” on the sightings. I can now recognise some of the leopards, the hyenas, and look out for the one limping wild dog that is always at the back of the pack. Camera work is really amazing.. Each location has it’s special features. Hoping we can include Maasai Mara again this year. My husband and I had a few days in a remote game park last week, and a lot of my WildEarth knowledge could be put into practice. Thank You to all on the WildEarth team. You are going a great job.
I suffer from depression caused by chronic pain. Wild Earth’s live safari’s have helped me in everyway possible. I am a animal lover and activist and I have learned so much from all the guides. My favorite sighting are of the elusive honey badger. Please continue on with the great work you all are doing.
With great respect and admiration.

I am hesitant to pay now, when no one is expressing certainty that there will even be a printing for publication.
This is an unusual way to do it.
And it sounds like that discount price offer will end before you do know whether it goes for publication.
Shame, because I was super-excited about this book being in my hands!
I love watching and learning from all the guides. The camera ops are so on target. I have learned an enormous amount of information since watching and feel like my day is incomplete if I don’t watch the drives. I have also learned a new found love for hyenas and I am slowly becoming a bird lover. Not there yet but I feel Nerd Bird coming. I have even gotten my husband on board with wanting to take an African Safari. Thank you
I would really like a Copy of the Wild Earth book
I LOVE wildearth and all the “rangers” the knowledge they have shared with me…to get to know all the cats and their different characters our daily visits to the Hyena den and seeing them all grow up.
Thank you for making my morning and afternoons something to look forward to.
Without the live Safaris I would surely have gone crazy during Lockdown in 2020. Listening to the guides commentaries and jokes made it feel like I had some friendly human contact. My knowledge of the animals and bush has improved and I cannot wait to get back into the bush again and put my knowledge to the test. I have fallen in love with so many of the animal characters that we see regularly. Thank you for enriching my life!
