Amber Eyes and her littermate Ridge Nose were born in 2012, to an unammed lionness who was killed when the Birmingham Males took over the pride.. She was sired by one of the ousted Matimba Males. Amber Eyes was not very successful in raising her first couple of litters and was often see more as an aunt to other lionesses’ cubs. Her third known litter, in July 2019, finally was a success with four (three females and one male) surviving past their first year.
