Born in March of 2020 to Thandi, Maribye (pronounced Marieps) caused a lot of commotion and concern after catching and killing a puff adder during a LIVE safari in July of 2021 as he sufered a bite from this highly venomous snake in the process. Keeping everyone on tenterhooks for the days following the incident, he proved the strength and resilience of wild cats by fully recovering within less than a week. He showed no lasting effects as shortly afterwards he went after a large monitor lizard and pulled it out of a termite mound.
