Quarantine was born as the son of the then Queen of Djuma, Karula in late November or early December 2012. He was probably fathered by Mvula. Quarantine was named after the large open area on Djuma Private Game Reserve where he was often seen. The frequency of sightings of him varies strongly as he has a large territory to patrol and moves around a lot.
